Found Wishes - A Second Tribute to The Cure (2022)

This little collection you hold in your hands began back in January 2022, knowing that The Cure announced that they will tour and stop by in Budapest. I decided to surprise them with another “bouquet” of my works.

The theme of this book centres around their 1992 album, Wish, which I grew up with and it’s my second favourite The Cure album after Disintegration. I also chose this album because of its 30th anniversary, so I kind of celebrated this occasion while making these little artworks. Just like in my first The Cure-related art book, “The Magic of Disintegration”, these pieces are inspired by either the lyrics, the melody or the accompanied music video of each song, mixed together with my interpretations of the songs and mixed with the world of LullabyTown. Beside the original album’s songs, I also included three B-side songs that inspired me in the making, you will find them after the main album’s illustrations.
